The Program Work Group ran a 3-month long teen program at Wellfleet Preservation Hall beginning in December 2022.
This program included month-long focuses of visual art, cooking, and music taught my local specialists. With a focus on equity and accessibility, these classes were completely free, transportation was provided anywhere on the Outer Cape, and snacks were always provided.
The class received fantastic feedback from the participating students and demonstrated the continued need for programs like this.
The Work Group went on to advocate for these classes to be incorporated into the town budgets for 2024 so that students can continue to access this resource.
