Our Solution

Since 2019, partners of the Outer Cape Community Solutions have met, shared concerns, pooled resources, and worked together to find solutions to the issues that are too big for single organizations to conquer alone.

Our Objectives

As our momentum grows, we are collectively focusing our efforts on educating and engaging with at-risk communities and advocating for policies that would support the availability of resources that promote health and wellness.

Increase the Outer Cape community’s knowledge about the work of the OCCS network and its partner organizations

Increase wellbeing and decrease sense of isolation through collective action

Increase OCCS’ effectiveness as a collaborative network through enabling networking and professional development opportunities

Expand advocacy for OCCS network and partners across local and state levels to allow for greater influence and expanded resources

The Challenge

The rural Outer Cape community is known for its beauty, seclusion, creative arts, and local culture. While droves flock to this popular tourist destination during warmer weather, the area’s year-round population has faced historical challenges and barriers to equitable health and wellness.
