After an initial run in 2022, OCCS is pleased to support another 3-month long teen program at Wellfleet Public Library beginning in November 2023.
This program includes month-long focuses of visual art, herbalism, and music taught by local specialists. With a focus on equity and accessibility, these classes are completely free with transportation provided anywhere on the Outer Cape, and snacks provided.
After the class received fantastic feedback in the first year from participating students, there continues to be demonstrated need for programs like this.
The Work Group advocated for these classes to be incorporated into the town budgets for 2024, so “OC Wellness” – the four Outer Cape town health departments – are sponsoring all of these classes.
