Providing free clothing for Outer Cape families since 1991
Mass Appeal was started by two single mothers in Eastham, MA. They had a vision of swapping used clothing with other mothers, and began in one of their garages where they stored donated clothes. They soon outgrew their space, and in 1996 finally settled in our current location.
For more than 30 years, Mass Appeal has provided free clothing, shoes, linens, toys and books for the whole family, primarily to residents of the four towns of the Outer Cape. Although this does not address all the economic challenges facing our clients, it does free up their limited resources to be used for housing, food and medical care.
They also work with their affiliate, the Outer Cape Committee Against Domestic Abuse (OCCADA). OCCADA serves to educate the community about domestic abuse and connect abused individuals with available services.
