SUMMARY:Chronic Pain Group
DESCRIPTION:Registered Nurse\, Leah Puffer offers a FREE\, 8-week Chronic Pain Group using Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). PRT is an evidenced based therapy for chronic pain that focuses on education\, balancing the nervous system\, and somatic exercises. The group will meet once weekly in person (virtual if needed) for 8 weeks. Each session will include education\, discussion\, and practice. Weekly topics include: pain science\, neuroplastic pain\, somatic tracking\, processing\, danger signals\, preoccupation & negative behavior patterns\, self-compassion and relapse prevention.  This group starts Monday September 22nd\, 2025 at the Wellfleet Adult Community Center and meets weekly on Mondays from 6 – 7pm for 8 weeks. \n  \nThis program is funded by the Opioid Remediation Settlement Funds. Programs are contracted by the four Outer Cape towns’ health departments known as OC Wellness Collaborative and coordinated by Outer Cape Community Solutions Rural Health Network.
